Dunbar’s custom-processes beef and pork for local farmers and small-scale livestock producers year-round in our clean and sanitized facility. Local-foods enthusiasts can obtain Michigan-raised meats of the highest quality, purchased from small-scale local farms rather than huge agribusiness corporations.
Dunbar’s will cut steaks, chops and roasts to your specifications, then vacuum-pack in thick-mil high-grade freezer wrap, and flash-freeze to preserve quality. In addition, a wide variety of specialty items are available – from our “secret recipe” sausages to smokehouse favorites such as bacon, ham, and jerky. We’ve been in this line of work in Southeastern Michigan since 1957, and will provide the best quality of processing on your order due to our long experience.

Custom smokehouse services – bring us your venison hams, turkey, or other meats and poultry, and we will turn it into a special holiday centerpiece for seventy cents per pound of pre-smoked weight. Your guests will remember the Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner that featured a delicious, whole smoked turkey or capon as the main course.

Dog Food and Dog Treats
Dog food is made generally once per month, around mid-month. It is a rich mix of all-beef organ meats. Due to the high fat content, it is not recommended as a primary food for most dog breeds – but it can be a valuable dietary supplement for ill or pregnant dogs of all breeds.
Dunbar’s also produces smoked beef femur bones ($4.50 each) and smoked pig ears ($2 each) as dog treats, along with frozen beef femur knuckle bones in 5-lb bags at $1 per pound. These treats sell out fast, so availability is not guaranteed – call ahead to be sure.
